Chai tea - also known as spiced chai or masala chai, since “chai” translates to “tea” in many Indian languages - is a delicious, aromatic beverage that hit Western culture in the 1990’s. Since then, it’s become a staple in both Indian and American kitchens, as well as a popular beverage in coffee shops.
